Our Story

Cahaba Energy Solutions was founded in 2023 with a clear purpose: to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions to the utility industry while building long-term partnerships that drive real results.

Before launching Cahaba, I spent over 20 years in the utility industry, including working with Alabama Power as a distribution engineer in both the field and at the corporate level. I was part of the team that helped establish the fiber-to-distribution group, where the focus of fiber was clear from the start: improving the reliability, resiliency, and security of the power grid.

That foundation still shapes how we think today.

While fiber plays a critical role in strengthening grid performance, I also believe strongly in its ability to connect rural communities, expanding access, creating opportunity, and supporting long-term economic growth. At Cahaba, we understand both sides of that equation, and we bring that perspective to every project we take on.

What started with a single customer has grown into a trusted partner for utilities and cooperatives across the Southeast. Our team has expanded, our capabilities have scaled, and our commitment to quality has stayed the same.

We specialize in fiber and power infrastructure, designing fiber networks, performing detailed inspections, and supporting the buildout and maintenance of critical systems, including fiber, distribution, and transmission assets.

At the same time, we’re focused on what’s next. The rapid growth of data centers and digital infrastructure is reshaping the energy landscape, and we’re actively building the expertise and capacity to support that future.
